Waldorf Education

Waldorf Education

Our son started his school journey in traditional education and we quickly discerned that this was not the right path for him and for our family. We craved true community, we sought an education that would foster a natural rhythm and eagerness to learn.

By age six, our son was in an international school abroad, following the UK national curriculum. The academics were rigorous and, yes, it was impressive if your focus is solely on academics but we watched our son’s fire slowly dwindling. He was very unhappy and it was heart wrenching.

At this time, I became aware of Waldorf Education and started following my feelings as I researched more and more about the pedagogy and the Waldorf way. It felt right and really in alignment with what we felt was needed to prepare our son for the future.

Through a series of serendipitous events in 2020, we found ourselves moving home and took the welcome opportunity to make a change and seek out a Waldorf school. Our son immediately started to blossom. His teacher is wholly invested in every child and cultivates a relationship with each and every one. It’s beautiful to observe.

If your heart is calling you to see if Waldorf is right for your child(ren), start here to learn more and see where your journey leads you.
