Non-Toxic Non-Stick Ceramic Cookware
Most regular, non-stick coatings are toxic, containing harmful substances that have been linked to cancers. It is important to be discerning when you see labels such as “non-stick” - you need to check to see what the coating is and if the company explicitly states that the coating on the cooking surface is free from harmful substances.
We like GreenLife cookware. They state, “[o]ur healthy and easy-to-clean ceramic nonstick coating is derived from sand and free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium.”
Non-toxic and non-stick - that works for us!
Dutch Oven
Le Creuset is known for being a leader when it comes to non-toxic, long-lasting, versatile cookware options. Cast iron is known to hold and distribute heat evenly so the food cooks at an even temperature.
This enamelled cast iron French oven is extremely versatile; it works on all cooktops (ceramic, electric, halogen, induction, gas) and can even be used under the broiler and in the oven to bake bread or a cake! It’s also dishwasher safe.
Genuine Le Creuset products are still “individually cast in sand molds and hand-inspected by French artisans.” They are truly special pieces that last.
It comes with a lifetime warranty too! If you know me by now, you will know I love the classic white one (as pictured). This colour is called Cotton.
