Most regular, non-stick coatings are toxic, containing harmful substances that have been linked to cancers. It is important to be discerning when you see labels such as “non-stick” - you need to check to see what the coating is and if the company explicitly states that the coating on the cooking surface is free from harmful substances.
We like GreenLife cookware. They state, “[o]ur healthy and easy-to-clean ceramic nonstick coating is derived from sand and free of PFAS, PFOA, lead, and cadmium.”
Non-toxic and non-stick - that works for us!
